Abstract	Розглянуто основні етапи розвитку французьких запозичень в англійській мові. Досліджено словниковий склад мови, фонетичні особливостії.. Доведено, що деякі слова з французької мови, завдяки асиміляції звуків, перейшли до складу слів англійської мови. The basic stages of developing the French borrowings within the English language are considered in the article. The reasons for the emergence of French borrowings in English are pointed out. It is proved that some words in French, due to the assimilation of sounds, transformed into the English language.
