Відображення моральних цінностей у прислів’ях українського та азербайджанського народів із концептом “дружба”

Abstract

У статті аналізуються прислів'я з концептом “дружба”, які відображають моральні принципи українського та азербайджанського народів, з метою виявлення базових цінностей і специфічних рис їх етнічного менталітету. Дослідження даних прислів'їв актуальне з точки зору відбиття в них моральних цінностей, притаманних обом народам. У статті робимо висновок про подібність в ієрархії цінностей представників двох культур. Певні відмінності обумовлені етнічними факторами, які впливають на менталітет українського та азербайджанського народів, що знаходить підтвердження на мовному рівні.

This article analyzes the proverbs that reflect the moral principles of the Ukrainian and Azerbaijani peoples in order to identify the basic values and specific features of their ethnic mentality. The analysis of the semantic components of the paroemias is based on the proverbs of the thematic group “friendship”. Particular attention is paid to the relationship between the paroemias, their common and distinctive features, and the fact that proverbs of the Ukrainian and Azerbaijani peoples who simulate identical or similar situations are often very close to each other, despite all their ethnic, historical and linguistic specifics. In short figurative sayings the conceptual picture of the world, the national uniqueness of daily life, customs and traditions are reflected. Proverbs advise, recommend, express fears; they admonish, warn, soothe, ridicule, etc. Among them, one can single out greetings-farewells, wishes, proverbs-omens, proverbs-aphorisms, etc. There are situations when people consult with proverbs like with wise people. Proverbs make a positive or negative assessment of the behavior, deed, situation; they heavily influence the communicant. In the thematic diversity of paroemias, special focus is on the proverbs that emphasize moral and ethical ideas and values. Among such sayings, key terms such as “truth and lies”,“good and fair”, “honor and conscience”, “love and faithfulness”, and other prevail. The study of such proverbs is relevant with regard to the moral and ethical values expressed in them that are common to both peoples. The article concludes that there is a similarity in the value hierarchy of representatives of two cultures. Certain differences are due to ethnic factors that affect the mentality of the Ukrainian and Azerbaijani peoples, which finds confirmation at the linguistic level.
