Abstract	Cost management plays an important role in the economic activity of the bank and is a process of developing and defining management decisions in accordance with all aspects of their formation and use in the bank. The main goal of cost management is to minimize low-efficiency costs, ie those costs that are not accompanied by profit. Cost management in the bank is formed on the basis of building a certain system, which is carried out in the course of its phased implementation through the implementation of certain methods based on information, organizational, technical and personnel support. The proposed model for assessing the effectiveness of cost management in the bank, for comparison with the initial research of scientists in accordance with cost management in the bank, during the study allows you to determine which costs need to be optimized, and taxonomic indicator, which is a generalized value of each cost item.
